Welcome Back to School: Learning Never Goes Out of Style 

Dear Driftwood Elementary Families, Students, and Staff, 

Welcome back to a brand-new school year! I am so excited to open our doors and welcome our students, families, and staff back to a place where learning is always in style. This year, our theme, Learning Never Goes Out of Style, reminds us that curiosity, hard work, kindness, and growth are timeless qualities that help every child shine. 

As we begin this new year together, we have so much to celebrate. Through the dedication of our teachers, the commitment of our students, and the partnership of our families, Driftwood Elementary made meaningful progress toward academic excellence and proudly earned a B grade. This achievement reflects the focus, perseverance, and belief that every student can learn at high levels. While we are proud of how far we have come, we are even more excited about where we are going next. 

One of the greatest strengths of our school is the beautiful diversity of our community. Our students bring many cultures, languages, traditions, talents, and experiences into our classrooms each day. That diversity makes Driftwood a richer, stronger, and more inspiring place to learn. When children learn alongside classmates with different backgrounds and perspectives, they grow not only academically, but also as compassionate, respectful, and thoughtful citizens. 

This year, we will continue to raise the bar, celebrate progress, and support every learner. Just like great style, great learning is built on confidence, creativity, and the courage to keep improving. Together, we will continue creating classrooms where students feel seen, valued, challenged, and inspired to do their very best.
